Perfect dining experience for modern Mexican cuisine located 20 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of core Las Vegas. Cuisine and service was wonderful. Be sure to make reservations online ahead of time (via Open Table). Nice ambience, with honorable mentions: crab enchilada, tinga tacos, mussels. We had the Instagram worthy dessert (chocolate skull with flan). It was quite a flame production, and I could do without the concept. A little more balance on the flan, please? Regardless, it was a great experience shared with friends, family!

Here we go again--Mijo has truly outdone itself. This is my second visit to this incredible restaurant, and I'm not surprised to say it's just as fantastic as the first time. This time, I sat at the bar and received excellent service. Let's talk about the food: the chips, salads, and guacamole were outstanding. I tried the lobster tacos, and they were amazing! My wife had the braised short rib, and she's absolutely in love with it. Don't forgot the Mexican Twinkie! We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Mijo!

The restaurant is beautiful- I regret not taking more photos because everything was so well done. The service was top notch and the food was excellent. Reservations are a must, and put your special requests in the notes because they do pay attention to them. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and I had put that in our reservation note and they noted it and put a candle on the dessert. The food- we received chips and salsa and our table of four was impressed, salsa was hearty and not too spicy or overly seasoned. The guacamole was delicious. We loved the tortilla soup- I am a tortilla soup aficionado so I had high expectations. The prickly pear margaritas was so good and I recommend it. Our party ordered the carnita tacos, carne asada tacos and the carne asada and there wasn't a bad dish. I look forward to coming back to try more of the menu offerings.

The food was very delicious! The strawberry margarita was the best I've ever had!! It was my son's birthday and we order the flaming chocolate skull with flan, amazing!!!!

7/13/24 Party of 6 12pm reservation Friends Brunch My friends and I do a monthly brunch. July was Mijos at The Durango. Make sure your entire party is there, or they will not seat you. Entrance decor is cute for pictures. The music they played was great but it's very loud. Our server was fun...can't remember his name but he's from Boston. He was courteous and accommodating to all of our needs. We ordered: Chilaquiles: 10/10, they're huge so plan on sharing. Chorizo w/egg: 10/10, the chorizo had the perfect amount of spice. Steak w/ bell peppers and onions: 5/10, quality of meat was good however, it was extremely oily. I recommend asking your server to tell the cooks for no oil. Chicken tacos 7/10, standard chicken tacos. Nothing that sets them apart from any other restaurant. French toast: 9/10, the presentation was pretty. Drinks: Cucumber, strawberry and grapefruit margaritas: best one was the strawberry. It was sweet and refreshing. It was a fun time and if you've never been then check them out. It certainly isn't a "omg I have to go back" restaurant.

Amazing brunch spot for anyone local or visiting Las Vegas in Durango casino!! I love a good Mexican spot and this place hits the spot with an amazing collection of tequilas and cocktails, food to perfection, and the decor makes you feel like you're in Tulum. The service was amazing and the bartenders were super nice in offering their suggestions and even coming up with some fun cocktails as well! The food was flavorful and cooked so well that we definitely have a lot more items we want to try next time!!

Everything we got here was great! The interior is decorated beautifully, and we were able to sit outside, which during nice weather here in Vegas makes it very enjoyable! The service was good, we could tell it was very busy so we appreciated our server being as attentive as possible. Portion sizes for things we got were great for the price, except the empanadas. It only came with 3 per order, but they were so delicious we wish we had more! The aguachiles dish was so fresh, we also wish we had more tostadas with this dish. The charred octopus was AMAZING when you got everything in one bite. For the mole, it was a bit too heavy in the cinnamon flavor for me and not much spice. The chocolate skull is presented in a great little show, and super rich in chocolate if you are a chocolate person. Highly recommend coming here for a nice night out!
